Garry Jones
1954 - 2007
Garry Jones, the Nina Lane Band's bass player, died of cancer on 20th August 2007. He will be much missed by all who knew and loved him.
Garry was a talented musician, a gifted bass player and a prolific songwriter. He toured with Chuck Berry among others and was an experienced and highly regarded player. Garry played venues such as the Marquee, Ronnie Scotts and the 606 Club.
His final gig was with the Nina Lane Band in April 2007 as a benefit for a Reading Cancer charity. Whilst painfully ill, he gave his usual fantastic performance. A fitting tribute.
